The Radical Experiment

Are you willing to use one year of your life to radically alter the remainder? You may begin at any time, but in 2011, a small group began the Radical Experiment, and we invite you to join us. The Radical Experiment asks you to commit to five practices for one year:
   1. PRAY for the entire world.
   2. READ through the entire word.
   3. COMMIT your life to a multiplying community.
   4. GIVE sacrificially for a specific purpose.
   5. GO and spend time in another context.

We will use Operation World to guide us in praying for the entire world—nation by nation—in one year. (Free printed copy to all who sign up for the experiment through Josh.)

You will decide which translation and reading plan you would like to use in order to read through the Bible in one year. Some will begin in Genesis, read straight through to Revelation. Others will read the books chronologically. And some will read a little OT and NT every day. You're also welcome to use an audio Bible.

This year, we will look at some new and old opportunities to give through First Baptist Church, as well as other ministries around the world. And we will explore how to serve in another context, including nearby options and our return trip to Haiti.

If you haven't done so, you are encouraged to read Radical by David Platt. Though not necessary, this book will help challenge and equip you for the year ahead. (Let Josh know if you need a copy.)

Prayerfully consider whether you're ready to take a step of faith and begin this life-changing experiment. If you'd like to take part—or if you just have a question—please contact Josh.
