One of my fondest memories was of my father’s rousing me out of bed with an old ditty that he had picked up during his years in the Army. “All aboard who’s coming aboard,” he would sing out. “If you can’t get a board, get a plank!” Little did my father know that he was instilling with his son a lifelong love of puns that add punch to the demands of life and work.
