Jenna Young, Minister to Singles
It is with great sorrow and sincere appreciation that I tender my resignation. My last day as Singles Minister and Staff Liaison to Women’s Ministry/Mission at First Baptist Church Tallahassee will be July 16, 2009.
The abundant blessings of serving in this position are immeasurable. Thanks for extending to me these rewarding opportunities. God has certainly led as I have followed His charge to build a relationally based Single Adult Ministry. I do believe First Baptist Church is known in the community as a church committed to the well-being of the single adult by providing full programming opportunities. I have been blessed as a minister to serve in this capacity for the past 10 years. The memories are overwhelmingly wonderful. The friendships that have been established in Him are treasures that are eternal! What greater treasure could life offer? Jesus teaches us nothing is more important than relationships.
I was also blessed to be part of a new work as Women’s Ministries (First Ladies) was established. One woman’s dream slowly but surely became a reality. The women’s retreats, women’s Bible studies, and events have certainly evolved. Assisting the Women on Mission with their various tasks has been a pleasure.
God has certainly made it clear with my ongoing health concerns that the door is closing on this chapter of life. Ray and I both thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the blessings our family has experienced through serving here at FBC. We pledge our continued love, prayers and service as a part of this sweet fellowship. Thanks!
