Pray First
As we seek our next pastor, we as a church are engaged in a season of focused prayer. Beginning on Wednesday, December 7, we gather on the first Wednesday of each month for a special time of corporate prayer, which takes place as a part of our regular Wednesday night prayer meeting and Bible study. For any who are unable to join us in the evening, the sanctuary will be open during the day and printed prayer guides will be available to you.
Here are some of our current prayer requests:
- continued focus on reaching people for Christ
- our interim preacher: Brad Creed
- our pastor search committee: Amy Baker, Cecil Davis, Bill Gardner, Meghan Greene, Jennifer Hendrix, Beckie Maynard, Eric Palm, Darrell Thompson, and David Westberry
- remaining congregational listening sessions
- congregational unity as decisions are made
- corporate patience throughout the process
- spirit of submission to God’s will in all things
- preparation of our future pastor for God’s call
- our new pastor’s transition to Tallahassee
Our next Pray First will be Wednesday, January 9 at 6:00 PM in the sanctuary. Also, the sanctuary will be open during the day for prayer.
