MISSION TRIP TO HAITI
After two mission trips to Haiti (learn about our 2010 and 2011 trips), we're planning another one this year to serve the same communities. If you have any questions, please contact Josh.

INFO MEETING
For anyone interested in going with the First Baptist Church team to Haiti, join us for an info meeting on Sunday, January 29 at 4:30 PM in room 2201 of the Chason building.

MISSION TRIP VOLUNTEERS
For anyone planning to go with us to Haiti, we encourage five things:
  1. Prayer: Pray for those in need and those who will go.
  2. Passport: If you don't have one, apply now. If you already have a passport, make sure it won't expire before March 2013.
  3. Immunizations: Check the CDC website to see what is recommended for Haiti.
  4. Money: Begin cutting back on your expenses and start saving now. Also let others know about your trip and how they can support the work you will do.
  5. Fitness: Unless you've been, it's hard to appreciate how physically demanding a trip like this can be. Don't wait on this one. Begin a program of regular exercise now.

SPAGHETTI LUNCH FUNDRAISER (tentative)
Sunday, April 22, 2012  |  Fellowship Hall  |  11:10 AM & 12:20 PM

Everyone's invited to come support our mission trip to Haiti...and enjoy a spaghetti lunch while you're at it. For early worshipers, we'll have lunch ready when your SMBS ends at 11:10. For late worshipers, you can just come down to the fellowship hall after the service at 12:20. The menu will include spaghetti with meat sauce (meatless sauce also available), vegetable, bread, and iced tea. Tickets are $5 each and may be purchased through the church office or one of our mission-trippers. Please contact Josh if you have any questions.

OTHER OPPORTUNITIES
In addition, First Baptist Church continues to support the Summer Music School at the Christian University of Northern Haiti (UCNH) through our annual Hope for Haiti fundraiser. If you would like to go to Haiti and help with the music camp this summer, please contact Janet Ray.
