What is it like to be hungry?
Most of us have very little experience with hunger, unless we're running late or get too busy and choose to skip a meal. But for nearly one billion people around the world, hunger is an unwanted part of their daily lives.
On Sunday, October 10 (World Hunger Day), you are invited to go hungry for lunch. We will gather in the fellowship hall immediately following the 11:15 worship service and observe a fast from lunch. We will spend our time learning about world hunger, exploring ways we can respond locally, nationally, and globally, and praying for those in physical and spiritual need. You will also be encouraged to donate what you would have spent on lunch to help the hungry.
Childcare will be available, and a free lunch will be provided for children. Parents are also welcome to have their older children participate in the presentation and the fast.
If you have any questions, please contact Josh.
