Internationals - English Classes

First Baptist's Internationals Ministry offers English classes twice a week, September through April.

Tuesdays 6:30 - 8:30PM (van leaves Alumni Village at 6:00PM)
Thursdays 9:30 - 11:30AM (van leaves Alumni Village at 9:00AM)

We wish to thank all who have helped make this year more than we had hoped it could be. Not only did our attendance excel over previous years (over 100 each week), but the number of individuals interested in Christianity and who accepted Christ as their Savior was unprecedented. Not only do we thank all of our teachers, workers, drivers, etc., but all who helped by bringing refreshments and assisted in other ways…you made the year!!!

Several of our volunteers will be moving into “honored retirement,” even though they will be happy to substitute if needed. Libby Ellis has been teaching since l970 along with Nancy Norman, who began in l988. They have worked beautifully together and certainly have been most faithful. Carol Wainwright has been our Refreshment Coordinator for the past eight years and has scheduled the refreshments from all parts of our church. For these ladies and all they have done, we sincerely say thank you and God bless you for your loving help.

Our teachers train each year at Lake Yale Baptist Assembly and this year we will go from September 10-12th. If you would like to participate in our International Literacy Program and would be interested in attending this training opportunity, please contact Janice or Marty Smith at 668-4958 or via e-mail.
