As a result, they have been invited to play in the national church softball tournament that will be held right here in Tallahassee! The double elimination tournament will be held at Messer, so make plans now to come out and support our team! Details and times will be available soon.
Congratulations to the team members who will be playing in the tournament: Pat Brown (leading the team in batting), Chip Beal, Brett Brandewie, Eric Casto, Mark Clark, Jeff Crane, Eric Eikeland, Walter Hicks, Mike Lewis, Thomas Perrin, Matt Powers, Clint Scott, Rocky Thomas, Michael Tolbert, and Joel Williams. |

“Give-Away Days” for
FSU International Students
August 17-18
A new school year is approaching, and many international students will arrive with only a few suitcases and very few resources for an apartment. The FSU Baptist Collegiate Ministry needs your help to show Jesus’ love to these students by donating quality new or used furniture, small appliances, and kitchen items to the BCM! Donations are accepted throughout the year, but the main “give-away days” are August 17-18. Tax donation letters are available. Please contact the BCM at fsubcm@fsubcm.org or 222-4444.
Florida Baptist Children's Home
JULY REQUEST: GREETING CARDS
FBC members donate items each month to the Tallahassee campus of the Florida Baptist Children’s Home (fbchomes.org), which has been helping children and families since 1904.
Thank you, First Baptist, for your overwhelming response to our June request for picnic items. Your donations of paper plates, cups, napkins, eating utensils, etc. will last us the entire summer! Your loving support always touches our hearts. God bless you all each and every day.
Our July need is for general greeting cards that would include those to say thank you, get well, sympathy, thinking of you, etc. The children and foster parents often have a need to send such cards to those who have provided special items or events for them.
Collection bins are in the College Avenue foyer, the Welcome Center, and by the elevator on the first floor. |
